Cara Credit Union honors seven students with Education Awards and Dan Kellegher Memorial Awards
Cara Credit Union has announced the recipients of its Education Awards and Dan Kellegher Memorial Awards, designed to support students pursuing a PLC, tertiary education, or an apprenticeship. Seven students will each receive 1,500 euros to help cover their study costs.
Two applicants aiming for master’s study have earned the Dan Kellegher Memorial Award. Lia O’Connell is enrolled in a Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering, while Laura Jane Moriarty plans to pursue a Master’s in Creative Psychotherapy and Play Therapy.
Five students have been selected for the Cara Credit Union Education Award. Their fields of study include:
- Sean O’Donnell, Applied Economics
- Anthony Nathan Costello, Interaction Design
- Lucia O’Connor, Product Design
- Seán Ó Dálaigh, Engineering
- Éabha Murphy, World Languages (Bachelor’s degree)
Mark Hussey, Chief Operating Officer of Cara Credit Union, expressed enthusiasm about the fund’s role in helping young members achieve their academic goals.
